THE EMERALD ISLE….
A “GRAND TOUR” OF NORTHERN & SOUTHERN IRELAND
A 18-DAY GENERAL SIGHT-SEEING TOUR OF THE WHOLE OF IRELAND.
Starting & terminating at Dublin Airport.
Day 1 Arrive at Dublin Airport, and we drive first to Dublin City, where you can tour the city at your leisure. To get you into the swing of things, tonight you have Evening Dinner followed by and Evening of Traditional Irish Entertainment. Overnight Dublin.
Day 2 There is so much to see and do in Dublin City that is worth spending a whole day here. You may like to visit Trinity college that date from 1592 and is the location of the world famous Book of Kells. The National Museum of Ireland has a great deal to offer, and of course a visit to the Guinness Visitors Centre is always great fun. Overnight Dublin
Day 3 We make our way south today, across the Wicklow Mountains, through Tullow and New Ross to Kilkenny where we tour Kilkenny Castle before heading on to Waterford City. Overnight Waterford
Day 4 Today we tour Waterford City and the surrounding area, to include Arthurstown, The John Kennedy Memorial Arboretum, Passage East, and Dunmore East Overnight Waterford
Day 5 We drive west today, taking a scenic route first to Tramore and then to Bunmahon, Dungarven, Youghal, Middleton, Cork, and to the picturesque fishing town of Kinsale. Overnight at Kinsale.
Day 6 We tour County Cork today, and this will include the City of Cork with free time to explore, the town of Cobh (last stopping port of the Titanic), and the world-famous Blarney Castle. Overnight at Kinsale.
Day 7 On today, from Kinsale to the bustling town of Killarney. We continue west through Timoleague, Clonakilty, and Skibbereen to Ballydehob. Here we drive west along the peninsula to Toormore, and following the coastline of Dunmanus Bay to Kilcrohane, we head for Bantry Bay and the town of Bantry. Then to Kenmare and Killarney Overnight Killarney
Day 8 The world famous “Ring of Kerry” is our main attraction for today. We take an anti-clockwise route from Killarney through Killorglin and Caherciveen to Valancie Island. After a tour of the Island and Lunch, we continue to Waterville, Caherdanial, and Sneem, before returning to Killarney.

Day 9 We head north today, from Killarney to the bustling town of Ennis. Our route first takes us to Milltown and Dingle, where we take a tour of “The Dingle Peninsula”. Continuing through Tralee and Listhowel we reach the River Shannon at Tarbert, where we take a Ferry to Killimer, and then on to Ennis. Overnight in Ennis
Day 10 Our tour for the day takes us to the Fabulous Rugged West Coast, and we drive first through Kilrush, Miltown Malbay, to Liscannor where we stop for lunch. Then on to “The Cliffs of Moher” before heading inland to the area known as “The Burren” Overnight in Ennis
Day 11 Continuing north, we drive first to Galway City, and then to The Connemara Peninsula. Here we take a very scenic route first through Oughterard, Maam Cross, to Clifden. Then to Kylemore Abbey and on through Leenane to Westport. Overnight in Westport.
Day 12 More spectacular scenery today as we make our way from Westport to Donegal. The route takes us along the western coastline through Mulrany, to Tullaghan Bay, Trawmore Bay, Belmullet, Glenamoy, and Ballycastle. Then around Sligo Bay to Sligo Town, Ballyshannon and finally to Donegal Town. Overnight in Donegal
Day 13 Today we tour County Donegal, first to Killybegs and then to Ireland’s Highest Sea Cliffs called “Slieve League”, near Muckros Head. Then through Ardara, to the Glenveagh National Park, and over the Glendowan Mountains before returning to Donegal. Overnight in Donegal
Day 14 On to Northern Ireland today, and our destination is the town of Portrush, located on the North Coast. We drive through Irvinestown, Omagh, Newtonstewart, and Strabane to Londonderry, and then on to Colerane and finally Portrush Overnight Portrush
Day 15 Today you have the opportunity to see the world-famous rock formation of the “Giant’s Causeway”, walk the amazing “Rope Bridge” that joins the mainland to the Island of Carrickarade, and take a tour of the Old Bushmills Distillery. Overnight Portrush
Day 16 We begin making our way south today, and the drive takes us first to Dungirven. Then through the Glenshane Pass to Maghera, Cookstown, Dungannon, and Armagh, to Portadown. Overnight Portadown.
Day 17 Today we first make the short journey through Lurgan, Lisburn and Dunmurry on our way to The City of Belfast, our attraction for today. We take a tour of the city which will include the Shankhill Road and the Falls Road, with their Famous Murals, the Albert Memorial Clock Tower, and the Harland & Wolf shipyard. Overnight Portadown
Day 18 Our last day begins with a drive to the East Coast, where we follow the coastline south around Dundrum Bay, through Ardglass and Newcastle. Then through the “Mountains of Mourne” to Warren Point, and Dundalk, where we take the main road to Dublin Airport. Overnight at Dublin Airport.

NORTHERN IRELAND….

Day 1 From Belfast Airport we make our way east, through Dungannon and Enniskillen, around Scenic Loch Erne, to Rosscor, and Belleek. If you are interested you may like to visit the Belleek Pottery Visitor centre before we finally head to Donegal Town. Overnight in Donegal

Day 4 The world famous “Ring of Kerry” is our main attraction for today. We take an anti-clockwise route from Killarney through Killorglin and Caherciveen to Valancie Island. After a tour of the Island and Lunch, we continue to Waterville, Caherdanial, and Sneem, before returning to Killarney.
