For those who prefer something different, the top quality guest house or B&B, such as the thatched country cottage (left) or 16th century country mansion (right) offer incredible value for money. Most establishments we use in this category have been extensively upgraded to provide modern facilities, and the guest accommodation is always separate from that of the owners.

The traditional country inn (left) has always extended a warm and friendly welcome to visitors. Many now provide quality accommodation, and most have excellent restaurant facilities offering an extensive menu of delicious home cooked food. If you like mixing with people, after dinner you can enjoy a chat with the locals over a glass of wine or pint of ale, before retiring for the night.
